about us
Brandon Jones is the owner and operator of Jones Services Northwest. Born and raised on Camano Island he has called this climate his home for the entirety of his life. With over 25 years in the heating and cooling industry (specifically the northwest) he has an answer or solution for just about anything.

Jones Services is a small family owned and operated company that takes pride in their work and their ability to provide a good service at a great value, keeping you and your family as comfortable as possible in what ever the Pacific Northwest weather can throw at you.

When not working the Jones' are most likely out exploring all that this beautiful area has to offer up. It could be enjoying the slopes at Stevens Pass, crabbing in the Puget Sound, or having a larger than usual bonfire to gather friends and family around...but you will almost always find them outdoors.

We look forward for the opportunity to work with you.

Frequently asked questions
-
How often should I change my air filter? We recommend that you change your air filter every 3 months. It may need to be changed more frequently during the winter months or if you have pets. Changing your filter will help prolong the lifespan of your furnace and keep your homes air quality cleaner and healthier.
-
Where is my air filter on my furnace?Typically they will be located behind a small access panel in the ductwork right at the unit or in the home behind the larger return air register.
-
What size is my air filter? The size can be found on the actual air filter itself, occasionally a nice technician will right it in sharpie on furnace or ductwork for quick and easy reference. After you know the size, air filters are available at most hardware. We recommend buying a few at a time and storing them near your furnace as a friendly reminder to change them every 3-6 months.
-
Can I add air conditioning to my existing system?Yes you can, but its not always recommended. If the systems ductwork is not installed or sized appropriately for a cooling system it will be far less efficient that it should be. In many cases adding a mini split system is a far more efficient way to add cooling to your home.
-
Can I get air conditioning if I don't have a central forced air system?Yes, mini split heat pumps are the go to solution for adding air conditioning to a home that doesn't have a central air system.
-
How often should my furnace be serviced?Ideally you should service it twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall). But a minimum of once a year will help to ensure there are no issues or parts that need to be replaced and your furnace is running in tip top shape. A well maintained furnace will save you money by burning fuel efficiently and extending the service life of your unit to it's fullest potential and avoiding a costly early replacement.
-
How long does a gas furnace last?15-20 years if properly maintained.
-
How long does an electric furnace last?20-30 years.
-
How long does an air conditioner last?15-20 years.
-
What is HVAC?HVAC just stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
-
What size heating or cooling system should I get? There are many contributing factors to the size of a system needed to heat or cool a home as efficiently as possible, so this question will require a consultation with one of us to evaluate the home and ensure that you get an appropriately sized system.
